Canadian folk music duo Twin Flames, comprised of Inuk and Mohawk artist Jaaji (Sunchild Deer-Okpik) and Algonquin, Métis, and Cree artist Chelsey June (Chelsea Jodoin), blend their heritages to create captivating music. Their sound incorporates traditional instruments like Indigenous spirit flutes and drums alongside Western instruments, with lyrics delivered in English, French, and Inuttitut. Since forming in 2015, they’ve garnered over 44 awards, with their song “Human” becoming the official anthem for the UN’s International Year of Indigenous Languages.
