Flickinger Guild
Founded in 1990, The Flickinger Guild is an organized group of volunteers that work in the box office, run concessions, check tickets and usher. The Guild also provides food, beverages, and hospitality for the professional artists contracted to perform at the Flickinger Center.
The Flickinger Guild hosts one annual fundraiser: the Turquoise and Silver Tea. Money earned at the Tea fund capital purchases for the Flickinger and Patron’s Hall. Some of the latest contributions include:
- Main stage curtain and the side curtains
- Marley dance floor
- Auditorium lights
- Lobby and office carpets, office furniture
- Steel equipment, work tables, shelves, and café seating in Patron’s Hall
The Turquoise & Silver Tea is a popular event attended by hundreds each year. While guests enjoy their refreshments they are entertained by local performers and a fashion show. The function also includes a unique selection of items in the silent auction.
The Guild welcomes all who would like to become part of the group.
